John Shrives is an associate in the Commercial Leasing group at Sherman Brown. He assists both landlords and tenants by drafting and reviewing a wide variety of commercial leasing agreements for properties across Canada.
John received a J.D. (Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa in 2019, completing his studies in both English and French. Before attending law school, John received a Bachelor of Commerce with Great Distinction from McGill University in 2007 and was employed in various roles at a global talent management firm and a leading Canadian real estate company. John joined Sherman Brown after completing his articles at a large, multi-service law firm in Toronto and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020.
John is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) and has contributed articles to the ICSC’s legal conference.
